With all the professional and social networking going on in the virtual world, sometimes we need to remind ourselves that the best connections are the real, lasting ones, without the virtual aids..
Over ten years ago I made a pilgrimage to a house in Great Neck, Long Island -- there lived someone I met on-line, but I decided I needed to meet him in person. It was one of the best decisions of my business and personal life. I left that pilgrimage with a great connection, but even more importantly with a friendship that has lasted all this time.
Jeff Pulver is not only a technology visionary, but he also a wonderful person. In his blog today Jeff gave me a very nice introduction to his world of readers -- he has a very popular blog, and in "old world" terms just gave me front page exposure. Let me take this opportunity to "publicly" thank Jeff for his friendship, and to hope that we continue to deepen our relationship over the years to come.
