It is rare that I have time alone in the car, but today I needed to zip to Herzliya for a meeting and back, so caved in and took the family car. Allowed me a solid half hour to listen to music, which I don't often get. And of course I chose to listen to one of my favorites, one of the people who continues to teach me long after he left this world, Rav Shlomo Carlebach.
At a time when I really needed it, my old teacher sang hauntingly:
"Return Again...
Return Again....
Return to where you were born and reborn...
Return Again...
Return to Who You Are."
To be who you are...that's the most basic goal in life. The world misses you Shlomo.
